Insight Oil and Gas in Russian bioenergy agreement
Insight Oil and Gas AB, Sweden, has concluded a strategic agreement with the Russian Biotechnology Institute concerning joint collaborative investments in bioenergy projects in Russia. This could allow Insight to expand in Russia in the area of biogas production, including the planting of forest for energy production. The company will have the right to identify and invest in future energy production in Russia in collaboration with the state Institute. It sees this as an opportunity to develop into a world-leading bioenergy producer. The Russian government estimates that it will invest around SKR 130 bn in biotechnology projects up to 2020. In association with the strategic investment, the company Insight Energy, which will operate under its own name, has been registered.
